Think I've made a mistake here....

i am two weeks post up... laughing hurt at first but not to terribly bad... i had not laughed in so long being afraid of leaking but now that my doctor fixed that issue i love to laugh even though there was some slight pain.

Everyone's mentioning a fluffy pillow - why does it have to be fluffy?

I was thinking of taking in one of those squooshy pillows - will that work?

I daren't listen to Ricky Gervais without it now

You want the pillow to be fluffy or firm, whichever your comfort preference is...but you will want to be able to hold it between you and the seatbeat or anything else (like animals) to keep your tummy safe. Now in the case of laughing, you will want to use it as a brace of sorts to help hold your tummy when you laugh so it doesn't jiggle too much because that will hurt! Best of luck to you with your surgery!

Definitely take a pillow. I am a week out and it still hurts to laugh. I still get on to my DH if he makes me laugh. If you want something small to keep with you or in the car is the small travel pillow that you can usually find at Wal-Mart. I have seen them in both blue and white stripe and pink and white stipe versions. I believe I may have also seen them at KMart as well.
