When is it safe to go back to chiropractor?

I saw my chiro on a regular basis before surgery for lower back and hip problems, does anyone know when it's safe to go back? My hips keeps me awake at night

I went for the first time 5 days post-op, and again 2x since. I found that with the extra work that the back and neck muscles have to do, I was in more muscular pain than surgical pain! Just make sure your doctor knows about your surgery. I also went within days of each c-section I've had done. It will help you feel better so you can heal more quickly!

I started seeing my chiropractor at the 3-week mark and have been doing 2 visits weekly. The reattachment pain of the ligaments to my back (only on the right side) have been reminiscent of the ruptured disk I had in that spot about 5 years ago.

My chiropractor was very concerned about doing too much with my lower back after surgery and took it very easy the first few appts. I mostly got to lay in the wave bed and had very gentle stretching done. Then, he did work on my neck and upper back. He has since been able to work more on my lower back and the treatments have just about totally eliminated the pain!!! (Yea....)

I agree with SCIrish...just make sure your DR knows about your surgery.
