Is this normal?

Had TAH 8 days ago. Never had to wear a pad-no blood or discharge. Today started decent amount of watery discharge with slight blood tinge. Is that normal? I am feeling more in the surgical area this week, but am down to Aleve in daytime and prn Perococet at bedtime.

Re: Is this normal?

I had some discharge with blood. But not much. This week has been the most and I'm almost 5 weeks out. I've heard others say that it is a sign of pushing your body. They have also said that if you fill more than a pad in a hour, time to call the doctor.

Re: Is this normal?

It is normal - I am 3 weeks post-op still seeing a touch of it too -- less each day, but depending on how much I am on my feet and about in a day, can see more one day then another due to activity. This too shall pass. This is an extensive internal healing process. Best to you!

Re: Is this normal?

The same happened to me. I rang my doctor and she said it was completely normal and could happen on and off for up to 6 weeks.
