Day before surgery and cramping/spotting

It almost seems like my uterus knows it's hours are numbered. Today the cramping and spotting are more severe than all weekend. It isn't unbearable, just annoying. Guess it just wants to let me know it is still here.

Has anybody else experienced anything like this or is it just me?

While I didn't have cramps, I did go into OR bleeding for my first laparoscopy and for my hysterectomy. I mentioned the bleeding to the staff and was taken care of very nicely!

There have been several women on the site wh have posted that right before surgery they have had cramps and bleeding so you are not alone!

I am having my hysterectomy on Jan. 31st and low and behold I think I'm gonna be having my period right around that time. I've already been cramping so bad this whole week and haven't started yet so I'll bet you its just waiting. Good luck on your surgery.

i keep thinking t'm gonna have the same thing. My last AF was 1-2, so i have a sneaking suspicion i'll be in that situation too!

OMG ... yes! I have been in more pain the past couple of days than I have been in months and my surgery is in 2 days. I said the same thing to my husband ... like my body just wants to torture me as much as it can while it can. I hope your surgery goes well. Good luck!
