need to hear its gonna be ok

i have so many scary thought with my surgery in 2 weeks. Like, is my voice going to change, am I going to grow a beard, and the biggest most important question for me is will I still enjoy sex the way I do now and want it as often as I do?????? Help!

OMGosh, I am feeling so much better than I did a week ago. I'm sore and all that from the surgery, but feeling so much better overall.

I'll be on my way to the castle on Monday, and my biggest fear is sex afterwards too! I know we'll be okay. For me, my cervix hurts and I spot after sex and grow polyps, so painfree sex is something I look forward to.
I'm keeping my ovaries. Are you?

Honey, you are not going to change, but I know the fear. The only thing I have left is my V and cervix and I am still me. Oh, I had a beard and mustache before (lol), I'm Italian descent so you know we have those! My voice hasn't changed, sex is still good, but no periods, better bms without the pressure of fibroids and cysts, better bladder control without cantaloupes pushing on it. I've lost weight, my tummy doesn't stick out as much, no pads, etc., etc.,

I do know how you feel though, I asked my gyno after my BSO if I was still a woman. Of course she said yes!

Thanks ladies! I am having my ovaries removed as well and have been a complete basket case every since i've scheduled the surgery, mu husband gets so upset with me because im a wreck now and he says nothing has even happened yet. its SCARY!!!!! i need the surgery and have been functioning for years in pain so im excited to see what i will be like pain free but they have warned me that even though they have every reason to believe a hysterectomy will solve all of my problems, I have major stomach trouble and the endo is what they think is causing it, they said i might still have the pains i have. if that is the case i will be devasted to have done this to myself for no reason. I just dont want to hurt anymore, oh and still have sex as much as I want. if i hurt and cant have sex it will be the end of me i know it.
