Your DH sounds like a keeper! Mine has been very understanding and supportive thoughout this whole thing also.
Just keep yourself busy until your surgury date...glad you found this site..it has been a lifesaver for me.

I am very new on the website. I have right at 4 weeks post op. I also had a vag hyst and left my tubes and ovaries. Coincedently, my Mother lives with me and is wheelchair bound. I had a very uneventful first 2 weeks with minimal pain and required minimal medication. I actually felt ready to return to work at 2 weeks. I have had other surgeries and would list this one as a breeze! (Of course I was very thankful for that!!)The very best I felt was between week 2-3. Unfortunately, I had a SNEEZE from H#** and ended up with a Spigelian hernia! Go figure, everything else has been perfect. I would advise you to meticuliously follow your physicians "no-no" list and many of the info on this website. As far as your parents go, I would remind them of what you cannot do for them if they request it. I did make one mistake in lifting my Mother's wheelchair ramp at week 2. I have not lifted it again!!! I have a recliner in my room and would escape for a while claiming I needed to rest. It has overall worked out very well. Good luck on your surgery. I hope it goes as well as mine (in the beginning!!!)
