Pain/itching at stitch sites 6+ months on

Hi I came to this site because of posts by Neener (& others) about severe pain/irritation at stitch sites .I do feel for her.
My vaginal repair( & hysterectomy was in Aug "002).It took many years before evetually nodules/cysts were removed & I have little or no pain at those areas now .
I have been told that I have a fibriotic reaction to stitches so eventually a different type of stitch was used. But the last op on March 2009 to remove nodules has left me with a maddening itch/pain at the site of the stitches. The dr refused to remove them in July- now he says they must have dissolved..
In despair I revisited my osteopath ( she being one of the few who felt the "pinheads" from the repair when Drs only seem to find them in an EUA) .She can feel 2 pinheads again..where do I go from here ?..any ideas anyone or do you just give up battling the weight of medical opinion which doesn't like anything out of the norm
Phew!Sorry I'm so long winded & thank you

I have lumps under mine, but my doc, my specialist and my physical therapist say it is scar tissue.

Thank you
Do these lumps itch/hurt?
If so,has the physical therapist brought you any relief?Do you know if a physical therapist is the same as physiotherapist?
Scar tissue is exactly what I was told by most Doctors .My question is what are the sharp bits within that tissue? There is 1 within each lump. The osteopath says they feel like the head of a pin.She was right last time round but it took a
lot for the doctor to agree to do the EUA(Ex under anaesthetic)
If they do hurt you then I hope you're not too bad today xx

I'm not sure if we have exactly the same thing. I know that physical therapists are helpful with scar tissue. Even in really tough cases they can help somewhat, which is something.

The terms are interchangable. In the UK or Canada, it's usually called a physiotherapist. But I believe they should be a specialist in the pelvic floor.
