home yesterday

Well hystersisters I came home yesterday after having a TAH on 3/11/04. I was nervous before I went in, but my fears were soon calmed and after a two hour procedure I did fine. They gave me morphine the first day and percocet the second. They do tell you to cough and it helps to have a small pillow. The ladies auxilary at the hospital made them for the hyster sisters and I used it a lot. I came home on 3/13/04 I live about 70 miles from the hospital and did fine on the ride home. I did have problems with gas and no bm's. I took milk of magnesia and prune juice. It has been hard to get up in the bed. I did take a shower by myself today and had a three hour nap. I dont have much of an appetite today so I kept it light. I wish all of you well and would love to hear from anyone.

DEAR baisch, WELCOME HOME!!! I HAD MY SURGERY ON 2-19-2004.(TAH AND RSO). MY RECOVERY HAS BEEN GOOD. I'M STILL VERY TIRED AT TIMES AND THEN OTHER TIMES I'M FULL OF ENERGY. WHAT I'M TRYING TO GET AT IS "IF YOU THINK YOU CAN DO IT" DON'T!!! IF YOU WANT TO DO IT ASK FOR HELP!!!!! THIS IS WHAT MY DEAR FAMILY HAS BEEN TELLING ME EVER SINCE I'VE CAME HOME. PLEASE REST AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

glad all went well. If youstillhave problems with the potty go to drug store and ask for a bottle of fizy stuff it works great not sur ethe name of it but its a little bottle adn i drank half and was going in 10 minutes...
