11 days post op ad new diagnosis to deal with

Hi All, Hope everyone's feeling ok and getting better quick, what with all the bowel and bleeding issues it's good that us ladies are a strong breed! I'm still having my own personal battle with the repercussions of my TAH + BSO. I've had bowel problems for years as well as all the gynie stuff and even though the op went really well and the consultant sent me home 4 days post op, 6 days post op things went slightly wrong! I started with major abdo pain and ended up spending 3 days sucking on gas and air in hospital again, it turns out that I have a bowel prolapse which will probably require more surgery :-( I've got to go through some fairly mortifying tests to see how bad it is befoe a final decision is made. This has been going on for 8 years and has basically ruled my life, I've been fobbed off by so many doctors who have made me feel like it was all in my head, so to have an actual diagnosis and a docor that has told me it's a fixable problem is actually quite a relief, boy do I wish I'd shouted louder all those yers ago!! Ladies, if you have any bowel problems SHOUT them out and get it looked at, don't do what I did and only hint at it through embarassment. Has anyone else had any simillar bowel issues? How did it turn out? I'm really scared of having to go through more surgery, this one was bad enough!

Wow. Sorry to hear you are header back for more surgery. Very good thing tho that they finally made a diagnosis so that you can get all fixed up!! I wish you list of luck as you get your bowels fixed up!! ((HUGS)) to you !!!
