Job is a CNA and I had a TAH

I am going back to work in about 2 weeks (will be 6 weeks post op) if the dr releases me. Is there any one else who is a cna and has had this type of hysterectomy? If so any recommendations on starting back to work?

(For any one who doesnt know a cna is a certified nuraing assistant. We are on our feet all day, lift, roll and change people)

Thank you

I'm a nurse, 3 wks post op & my MD said she MAY release me for light duty at 6 wks. I had a lap assisted vaginal hysterectomy. As much as I miss my job (and the paycheck) I'm staying out as long as possible. CNA's work extremely hard, I'd say to follow your MD's advice & more importantly, your bodies ques. Maybe start back light duty for a few wks & see how it goes. Good luck!
