Advice - only 27, lots of issues

Back story: I have had 3 c-sections, due to a birth defect on my part (hips are turned in, instead of out, preventing a baby to fit out properly during delivery. Even though I had been told since I was very young I would never deliver naturally but I tried anyways and was unsuccessful :-() Anyways, I had a tubal ligation during my last delivery 5/5/14. After nursing for a year my period returned and although I have always had nasty periods, it was insane. I ended up with Novasure being done in August 2015.

Now, ever since Novasure I have have been having lots of pelvic pain. They thought I had an infection about 3 weeks after procedure. The antibiotics helped some but the pain never completely went away. When I first noticed it, it seemed to be a monthly thing around my period time (haven't had a period since 10/2015) so I just chalked it up to my body just thinking it was having a period. The pain got worse & worse and more frequent. On New years Day, this year I ended up in Emergency because the pain would not stop. I have since had 3 ultrasounds, x-rays, more pelvic exams than I care to remember, and a colonoscopy. The gastroenterologist determined I do have spastic colon but that is not the issue causing me all this pain. My primary care says I need a hysterectomy and that he wishes I would have talked to him before having my tubes tied because he doesn't recommend it due to PTLS. Well I can't change that now. I had another ultrasound today and my OBGYN said she talked to other staff in the office and I am looking at either a hysterectomy or a hystroscopy to see about cleaning up scar tissue but they don't know if it will even help my pain or not. I requested she check my hormone levels but I am at a loss for what to do. I am only 27. I have no sex drive, vaginal dryness, hair loss, extreme fatigue, extreme pelvic pain, plus tons of other issues. My mom ended up with a hysterectomy at 29 (she tried a hystroscopy first & it didn't help) & my sister never had kids and ended up with one at 30 and also found out there were precancerous cells in her uterus. My ultrasound shows what they believe is pockets of blood but they said it may be polyps in my uterus as well. I just don't know what to do. I would hate to put myself through the hystroscopy for it not to help with the pain or any of my other issues just to have to have a hysterectomy. I'm at a loss. What would you ladies do?

Re: Advice - only 27, lots of issues

Im so sorry you are going through all of this at such a young age. My tubes are tied and I end up doing ablation in June 2015 as I was bleeding all the time, when they did the Hystroscope my uterus was full of poplys and this was the reason for my doctor doing the ablation. 3 month later I'm in so much pain, from my bellybutton down to my thighs. The ablation failed and the scar tissue in keeping the blood inside. The doctor cleaned out the tissue but Im still in so much pain, some good day and horrible day. Im scheduled for surgery on the 30th of this month for total abdominal hysterectomy, Dr. states my uterus is large to have vaginal. They did put me on a form of progesterone. But it didn't help me.

You have to do what you feel is best for you. Wishing you all the best (((hugs)))
