belly sleeper!!

Hi!!
I don't sleep on my tummy so I don't know for sure if you will be able to right away or not. I do know that when I came home from the hospital, there wasn't too much pain. I still took pain meds for a couple of days, but was fairly comfortable. I remember changing sleeping positions frequently since I was sore from the positioning during the surgery and not the actual surgery. I think that you will find what works for you and that you will just be glad to get some rest.
Good luck with your surgery. I hope that it goes as well as mine.

belly sleeper!!

I'm a belly sleeper, too. I have a certain routine in order to go to sleep - lay on my right side, turn to my left side, go to my belly, sleep.

I could sleep on my belly as soon as I could stretch out flat. The first day or two in the Castle I stayed a little scrunched up.

I have a LAVH and my recovery has been going very well. I sleep much better now.

belly sleeper!!

I sleep best on my belly or on my left side. I was able to sleep on my side very soon. I slept on my belly after about a week. My key was a bath towel. I could change the shape of it easily and it was small.

Best wishes to you.

I'm a tummy sleeper too!

ringfinger!

I had a TVH 8 weeks ago.

I was able to sleep on my tummy as soon as the catheter was removed...about 28 hours after surgery.

Thank goodness...no other position feels the same for a deep sleep.
