2 week post -op discomfort, yeast infection?

Surgery will be two weeks ago tomorrow, but ever since surgery, I have had pain urinating. I called my Dr. and she prescribed me antibiotics in case of a UTI, after I finished those pills, I now have a yeast infection! whats really going on??? Is this normal to have sooo much going on down there this far out after surgery??

Well, first of all, 2 weeks is not all that far away from your surgery date, at least in my mind. Even with your procedure being a LAVH it was still pretty major.

The urination pain and discomfort can last for some time even with out a UTI being present, it is good to get your urine checked if it keeps up, just to be sure the infection is gone.... i never had a UTI after my hyst surgery (though I have gotten them after other surgeries), but it sure felt like it. Took almost 2 months before peeing felt any where near normal....

As far as the yeast goes, yeppers....very very normal after a round of antibiotics....check with your doctor about the best treatment for you..
