Of course, now that I'm scheduled and ready the bleeding's stopped!

Doesn't it just figure? I was bleeding every day for eight months and now a week and a half before the surgery, the bleeding's stopped! Gawd, now I wish it WOULD start again and I never thought I'd hear myself say THAT. :confuse:

I'm still going through with the LSH on 12/2/08 though. My dr. said he doubted that I would make it to menopause without more bleeding of some sort down the line plus the fibroid has grown another 1/2 centimeter in the last 6 months. They say while it's not huge, it is filling up almost my entire uterus. Plus I'm also getting mild to moderate cramps even though there's no flow so to speak of....just this clear, watery pinkish brown discharge that doesn't feel like normal vaginal discharge. Then there's the polyp...sigh.....Anyway, just feels better to vent and if not here then where?

Yeah. lol! Thanks. I'm sure you are right or at this point hoping you are! Who would have thought that I'd be thinking to my uterus "Bleed, **** you, BLEED!"

Hi Mrs CupCake

Wouldn't you believe it! You go through all the pain and tests and then it just stops out of the blue!

I am sure there will be a reason for it stopping and along with the fibroid, cramps, polyps and current discharge I think you are quite right to carry on with the surgery. It isn't right that any of us should have to go through this!

Wishing you a safe surgery and an uneventful recovery

Thanks you guys. Your responses made me smile and not feel so frustrated with my situation and that little voice in the back of my head whispering, "Maybe you don't NEED an operation. Maybe you should cancel. Maybe you hit menopause. Maybe it's stopped forever". Even though I know that's not true or I doubt my fibroid would have grown 1/2 centimeters in 6 months. Plus I'm still getting cramps and things down there just don't feel right.

Murphy's Law!
Yeah I have been heavily bleeding for most the year and it quit 2 days ago and today I did my preadmit appt. I had that niggly feeling too. But nope, 99% of the time its real bad- so that wins out(GULP). I also bleed really bad after a very stressful encounter. Like-as soon as I next go the bathroom-ta..da! We women are complex!

Yep,
It must happen!

I finally had a biopsy after waiting a month for the doctor's schedule.
By then the bleeding had stopped, but still precancerous.

So even though nothing yet, after 2 months I'm still going forward.

I'm this far, I'm not going back.
I'm tired of doctors and the C word (breast cancer 2006 and yes... TAMOXIFEN- guess why I'm here!)

If you don't want a repeat, go forward!!!
