D&C, Hscopy, Lap and Aunt Flo?

Hi sisters, could someone please calm my nerves? I am going in for a D&C,hysterscopy and lap this Tuesday. The dr wants to get a biopsy of my lining and uterus to look for any problems. Mainly he is trying to rule out any cancer that might be making my endo lining grow so thick. He is also going to look at the fibroids. And last but not least, the lap is looking for endo and adhesions. He feels that my tilted uterus is "stuck" to my back or bowel.
....So my question, I will be 4 days into my flow when he does these procedures. Will that be okay? Will my period mess up any of the tests? I've never done anything like this before. Yes, I did tell the appt setter that I would be having my period when she gave me my appt. She didn't seemed concerned and said it was okay. I'm just very nervous and don't want to show up on Tuesday morning to have them cancel this.
....Have any sisters had this done while it was that time of the month?

I thank you so much for your patience and support.

D&C, Hscopy, Lap and Aunt Flo?

I had the same thing done in early Feb. I was also on my period. There were no problems with it being done, and it didn't mess up any tests either. I did notice I bled really light for a couple of days afterwards, and then finished with a "normal" period.
You should be fine.
BIG HUGS to you, and please don't worry too much.

D&C, Hscopy, Lap and Aunt Flo?

I had exactly the same thing in January --- and I was flowing very large amounts with huge clots.

They did the D&C and sent quite a bit of it to pathology, which was when they found my abnormal cells. My doctor commented later that I was flowing pretty heavily (but it didn't bother them).

The hardest part was, because I was flowing so very heavily, once I was in the "gown" for surgery, I had to hold a pad between my legs as I walked anywhere even a couple steps, or changed gurneys, or anything.

Good luck. I found the hysteroscopy and D&C to be pretty easy on me.
