6 Week Checkup Fears

I have my 6 week checkup on the 19/12. I was of the understanding that all the stitches from my VH were dissolving, but last week I had a discharge and niggly pains in the lower area of my pelvis and phoned the gyno who advised it was common, not to worry about it and would clear up when he took out my stitches at my 6 week check up!! I'm terrified. Firstly I don't know how he's going to get them out as it will no doubt be difficult, secondly the pain factor. Is this common practice?? Frankly, I feel like Frankensteins bride at present. If anyone has advice as to how theirs went i would appreciate it.

I just had my 6 week check up Monday. The DR did and internal said everything was healing fine, there was no removal of stiches. I was under the impression that they just dissolved, every procedure is different so not sure about yours. I think you should call back and clarify don't worry for another week.

I agree - call and check on that. I had vag surgery 5 years ago and then my TAH 2 weeks ago and didn't have to have stitches removed at all.
