Kept ovaries

Hi,

I had my tvh Aug 8th, we decided (dr & I) that he would leave my ovaries if they looked heathly but would take my cervix.

What I found out after my surgery is I kept both ovaries (they loked good) but he found endo close by and thinks it could cause a problem in a couple of years and they may need to be removed then. We will just have to wait to see if anything develops.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

As far as I knew going into this endo was not one of my issues so now I am back to being a bit confused. I am not sure why the symptoms will even be.

Thanks for your help,
Mac

Kept ovaries

I kept my ovaries, too. Was also told that some endo was discovered, but was never aware.

Endo causes different symptoms for different folks.....like most other health situations. Here's a link you may find helpful:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...5.htm#Symptoms

Since we were fortunate in not experiencing any symptoms before it was discovered, maybe we won't have any later, either?!

Take care, Princess...........s.....Deb
