Feeling as if I'm gonna pee on myself 6 days post op

I am 6 days post op and for the past two days I have had the extreme urgency to urinate and the pressure is unreal. Even passing gas makes me go a little. Went for urine test today and no sign of infection. Please tell me this is normal and will eventually go away.

If you don't have a UTI then my best suggestion would be for you to make yourself go before you have the urge, like maybe once an hour until your swelling go down and hopefully the pressure eases up. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water and are emptying your bladder. You can pretend to blow through a straw while voiding to help with emptying.

I know when I was at the begining there were times I barlely made it to the bathroom. Sorry for the TMI. I was going every time I turned around!! Thought my bladder had shrunk to a pea!

As each 1/2 week pasted, my bladder grew just a little bit bigger! Can't say its normal yet, but I'm not at 4 weeks yet either. lol But at least I can go out and not have to worry about embarrising myself.

That happened to me too. I would get the urge and have to pee right away. It is normal and it gets better. Just takes time.
