Colitis Question

Barbara, you didn't scare me. Posts on adhesions.org scared me. Your GYN lysed your adhesions? I have no 'girl' parts left. This is a general surgeon I spoke with. I'm contemplating to go with him, or seek an adhesion specialists.

Colitis Question

Hey,

It was my GYN because they couldn't fiqure out where my pain was coming from and I had just had an Etopic Pregnancy. At that time I still had my female parts minus a tube. I am sure that your General Surgeon will be fine if he's had a lot of experience with this. I did learn that they need to be real careful removing the adhesions. Tell him you know all about this stuff and to take his time. They put this stuff in me last month to help stop the adhesions from growing so much, it was like paper that turns to gel when they close you up. You might want to ask him about that. Keep us posted.

Colitis Question

Barbara,

Did they put the adhesion barrier in during the TAH? This will be a laparoscopic surgery. I don't know if they can use adhesion barriers in a lap surgery, but it is on my list of questions.

Thanks,
Nancy
