I made it, and YOU will too!

Hi Everyone,

My TAH/RSO was last week on 10/21 and it went fine. I spent 4 days in the Castle and am now getting back online at home (finally.) I want to post the "story" later in more detail, but for you wonderful LIWs, please know it is nothing you can't handle!

Is there pain? Yes, but pain management is great in the Castle and they WILL make you comfortable. I am a big whiny baby about pain and I'm doing OK.

What about swelly belly? Oh boy it DOES exist, at least for me it does, and is alive and (huge) living in my gut! I'll have to peruse the PostOp forums for info there on this lovely phenomenon.

My pathology report confirmed tons of Endometriosis (which we knew - had it for 11 years) plus a new visitor "Adenomyosis"... so it really was a good thing to just have this stuff removed so I can get on with life.

You sisters are the best and I told all the Castle folks how helpful this website was in preparing me.

I just learned I have to have a hysterectomy, (I don't know the accronyms yet.) Abdominal uterus removal only. I am a little nervous, but glad we are moving in a direction to get it taken care of.
