TVH Severe lower back pain/aching all over

I am 19 days post-op. I had my 2 week check up Wednesday and the doctor said I am healing well but not out of the woods yet. My bladder was damaged during surgery and instead of getting the sling for my cystocele, I ended up with stitches in my bladder and a catheter that was only removed on Wednesday. My problem is that I am having some serious lower back pain that is not aleviated by ibuprofen or vicoden. I am also having some a lot of aching in my abdomen. It seems to me that a lot of women have lower back problems 2-4 weeks post-op but no one seems to know why. Anyone out there have a proper diagnosis from their doctor? Also, when can I expect to have some energy. I try to get up and about every day. I am cooking meals, folding laundry and doing light chores. I also spend a good deal of time resting on the couch with a heating pad. All in all, I feel I am doing the right thing but I don't feel I'm making any progress. Just feel BLAH!

You need to stay off your feet and rest. It sounds like you are doing a lot for someone that is just a few weeks post-op. Personally, I did nothing for 6 weeks aside from some walking. I didn't even lift my dinner plate to put it in the dishwasher for 4 weeks. You only have one chance to heal and you deserve it so please give your body time to heal.
