3 days post op...potty?

I had surgery Oct 23. I had to do the colon cleanse the day before. Has anyone else who cleansed before surgery still have watery bowels afterward? I went yesterday for first time. I am usually constipated so in fear of all the pain meds, I took one stool softener yesterday. Last night it came out just as when I cleansed but there was blood in toilet as well. I have no idea which part of my body the blood came from. Spotting just a tinge when I wipe. Sorry for the gross ? but a little scared to ever poop again!

Re: 3 days post op...potty?

No worries. My colon cleanse continued to work a few days after surgery. Keep up the stool softener though because you will feel everything moving through your colon intimitely. Last thing you want is to go from watery stool to totally constipated. If the blood is minor, don't worry because it could be from strain of bowel prep or residual blood from the hysterectomy. Happy healing!
