My crown is SO lovely!!!!

Had TLH/BSO on 3/25, released home on 3/26, just getting around to posting.

The surgery went well. In pre-op, they couldn't find a vein (unusual, I am usually pretty easy to hit) so I was poked a lot and have some lovely bruises, but they eventually got everything hooked up. I didn't get any happy juice before being wheeled into surgery, so I was wide awake and looking around. Everyone was SUPER nice about comforting me and making jokes. At one point I looked to my right and there was this long table with a million clamps and tubes and suction containers and what even looked like drill bits on it. A man (not the doc, didn't know who he was) all masked and gowned was putting even more stuff on the table. I sat up, looked at him and said "IS THAT ALL FOR ME????" in the most horrified voice! They all laughed and that is when the nurse finally sat me down and have me my happy juice and out I went. I don't remember too much about recovery, I know I was shivering like a mad woman and felt very pukey. When I finally got to my room, I was hurting bad and they finally gave me morphine.

I ended up losing everything, I had HUGE tumor on the ovary they wanted to keep, so it had to go. I did suffer the dreaded "can't pass gass" epsiode, boy did that hurt! Things are "moving" along now, so I feel better.

Getting dopey again, too much percocet, time to lay down, I will post again soon!

My crown is SO lovely!!!!

Welcome home Princess!! I was smiling at your description of all the tools, gadgets and gizmos! I had a D&C and hystroscopy done this past week, and said the exact same thing at all the 'stuff' they had out for me. They too quickly gave me happy juice!

I'm glad all is well.

Welcome home

I remember looking at a table with a bunch of stuff on it
before when I had a d and c. I specifically remember a big
bottle brush looking thing.. yikes!

I get the shivers before each surgery I've ever had. it's
scary. They gave me a heated blanket to help when i had
my casereans though. I'm scared of going through it all
again for the hyst. I shook so bad and my teeth did too
My jaws were so sore..

Glad you're home and doing ok.

I've got almost a week to go.
