Aunt Flow's final appearance

My TAH/BSO is scheduled for April 8th. The last several months, my periods, although very irregular, have been quite light when compared to the past 8 years (since my last child was born).

My DSO and I had tickets this past weekend to a concert out of town. We had been planning this weekend as a special 'treat' to ourselves, knowing I would be "out of commission" for quite some time following surgery. As luck would have it, "Aunt Flow" decided to make her appearance....and I guess she knew it was gonna be her FINAL appearance, so she wanted to go out with a BANG! Well she succeeded! Thankfully, my DSO is wonderful! He was SO incredibly thoughtful and loving this weekend. I of course was VERY dissapointed that we didn't get to spend the weekend QUITE like I had planned, but it was a very special weekend in any case.

I've read in other posts about other sisters having much lighter (or delayed) final periods. Just curious, have any experience the MUCH heavier as I am experiencing?

I think you'll find experiences go all over the board--from heavier "Oh my gosh, I"m gonna die" to "What?? Why am I doing this??"

All I know is my own experience, is my body behaved soo very well and properly, but I'll not be fooled by this faked display of good behavior. I know better!!

I'm glad you had such a nice weekend, that's special. Myself, I didn't get to have all the fun I wanted to either, but it was because of my dear Aunt Flo and how tired it made me. Too tired to whoop it up one more time. But thank goodness for understanding hubby....

I understand what you mean! I am pms-ing right now, and praying that my period doesn't come before my surgery. I have such horrible pain I can't function, and I only have about a thousand things I HAVE to get done this week, both at work and at home.
