off topic venting

Okay. So I had surgery 1/12 and I feeling pretty good most of the time. My husband on the other hand is also having some health issues so he goes to the Dr. yesterday and she gets extremely excited about his issues and sends him to ER. He calls me from the Dr. office and says he is going to ER. I told him to come get me because she told him she would "call the ER and have the surgeon meet him there!!!" So I am thinking he is going to have emergency surgery. So off we go to the ER. We get there and he is examined by the the ER doctor who almost laughed when he examined him. No surgery. Turns out he has hemorrhoids and an urinary track infection. I'm glad he going to be okay but I want to kill his doctor and/him for overreacting. I drove for the first time since surgery and did fine. I am little sore today. My husband and family almost killed me for driving but I showed my doctor's instructions that state that I could drive after one week and once I am off pain meds which I have not taken in a week. I am telling you this because it just goes to show that women are caregivers and we rise to the occasion. Men (at least mine) not so much.

So glad your DH is going to be ok !! That must have been so scary. We had something like that happen with my daughter. You think the worst ever. Glad you are doing ok after the excitement and driving. Take care

Re: off topic venting

What I got from this story
men's health is a medical emergency while it is so commen for women's issues to be swept away. a female with those same issues could /would have been given minor consideration and told to pick up something from the drugstore
