7 weeks post hysterectomy: Tender Swollen Dolly Breasts!

Hi! I'm new here and it's been 7 weeks since my hysterectomy. I had my uterus and cervix removed due to fibroid tumors but my Dr left my ovaries since I'm 37 and still producing estrogen. Since my surgery, my breasts get super tender and swollen occasionally. I'm thinking it's because I'm still producing estrogen and my ovaries are functioning. It's just that I've never had such tender breasts during my menstral cycle prior to my surgery. Only minor tenderness. But this is uncomfortable! Is anyone else having these problems?? I don't mind having Dolly Boobs but I don't want this pain!!

I know my breasts get sore when my hormones are out of balance. I have heard that some women's ovaries go into a form of shock after a hyst and it may take time for them to balance out. But, I think its definitely worth mentioning to your doc.

I've had the same problem. It started about five weeks after my hysterectomy. Never had sore, tender to touch breasts before. One was more painful than the other. Went to the doctor and she thinks it is a new PMS symptom. I'm having an ultrasound just to be sure.
