Hi to All..
I am new here and have some questions. I am 28 years old (with 3 boys) and had just my Uterus removed on 4/25. I kept everything else. My question is : since the surgery I have had terrible pain in my pelvic area only on the right side all the way to my hip and half way around my back that just won't let up. I am still taking the Pain meds to ease this pain a little. Any idea why the pain is just on the right side?? Since the time I was in the recovery room it has only been on this side. Thanks for all your advise!

I had the same thing but eventually it subsided. You are still pretty early in your recovery. I don't know what kind of surgery you had but I had TVH and they say that they have to contort your body to do the surgery and that accounts for some of the back pain. And then if you had it abdominally I'd guess that there are a lot of nerves affected. If I were you I would take those pain meds as long as you need them. I also took Ibuprofen which helps with inflamation. If it continues and you are still worried, don't hesitate to call your dr--that's what they're for!!!!

Here's hoping you start feeling better soon!!!!

Have you asked your doctor? It sounds like nerve pain..I took fish oil pills another sister recommeded..there are so many nerves involved in this surgery..they take time to heal..I couldn't stand for long for 5 weeks post op.

I had a TAH on 4/13. I had the same pain, only it was on my left side. My dr said it was muscular pain due to having 3 c-sections and then having my hysterectomy too. Those muscles have been cut 4 times now....so things are just really out of whack. I was wondering if you had your babies by c-section as well?
Good luck to you, hope all is well.
