when to wear tight

hello everyone
I'm 45 years old and it's been 8 weeks since I've undergone a radical hys. I have started walking according to my surgeon's recommendations . I was wondering if I could wear some tight (tighter) clothes like slimming undergarments ? because I'm feeling that something must hold the slumped stomach of mine after all .
thanks

Re: when to wear tight

Many sisters wear binders after surgery, and those post surgical garments to help hold things a little snugger. You could check with your doctor, but I would think that as long as they are supportive and don't cause pain you could start any time now.

HI. I"m going to ask my Dr also about wearing something binding to give support and make me look better, LOL.

Re: when to wear tight

I was thinking about a girdle or something similar myself. I know we'll heal with time but man is it frustrating. I was so proud of myself for going from a 16 to a 12 and now my belly's so swollen I'm back in those larger sizes again. And that's with me losing another 10lbs since leaving the hospital!

I wore a binder around my stomach. It made me feel secure.
