Ideas for relief from the pain?

I am four days post op and the pain is still as if it was the first day. I can't take the heavy RX because of allergies and what I can take only gets me down to a 7-8 on pain scale. Does anyone have any other ideas I can do with my medicine to help?

What are you allergic to and what are you taking?

I can not take opioids/narcotics, but have found that Tramadol or Toradol (either) work well for me. You really need to take this up with your doctor - pain prolongs healing.

Also - be careful not to do too much too soon - make sure you are getting plenty of rest and follow the doctor's instructions carefully.

Call your Dr. There must be something they can do to help. Pain management is an important part of recovery. I am sorry you are suffering so much. Hugs and prayers for you.

The hystersisters store has a product called an endoFEMM heating/cooling pad. It can be used in the microwave or the freezer and I found it to be VERY helpful with cramping. It contains corn kernels so it is a tiny bit heavy, but I enjoyed having the heat press into my belly. And it does not make me sweat the way using a traditional heating pad does. That might offer you some relief. Good Luck!
