Soreness three and a half months after TAH

After two and a half months of slow recovery, I got better almost overnight and felt sufficiently well and energetic to return to work. The return coincided with a busy and physically very demanding period, which usually lasts for no more than two weeks, however this year it went on for almost five weeks. I felt and coped well for the first three weeks, but suddenly developed soreness where my cervix used to be. It used to get better after a night's sleep, but would come back soon after I started moving around. I went to see my GP who gave me an internal examination and said that I had pulled some ligaments as a result of doing too much too soon and recommended 4 weeks of rest to allow the ligaments to heal. After a day or so the soreness eased, but as soon as did some light housework, it returned with a vengeance. Although I'm trying to do as little as possible, I still feel uncomfortably sore and my belly is quite swollen. I expressed to the GP my concern about the possibility of a prolapse, but was told that it was too soon for it to develop.

I am quite worried and depressed at the thought of ending up with long-term side effects of the operation. At times I feel I'll never get back to how I was pre-op.

Has anyone else had similar symptoms and, if so, what was the diagnosis?

Many thanks.

I'm at two and a half months out too. If I overdo, I still get sore. The swelly belly comes and goes too. I've had pulled ligaments before also and they do take a while to heal. Sometimes I take two OTC ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for pain and it seems to help.
