Serious Diarrhea Anyone?

I am 3+ weeks post-op and have been feeling great. However, last night I woke around 3 a.m. with... I don't know! Felt a little like heartburn. I spent about an hour in the bathroom and then willed myself back to sleep just for the relief of being unconscious. Today I feel like I've taken 2 steps backward.
I would really love it if someone would tell me this is normal and that I don't need to call my doctor AGAIN.
Thanks!

Serious Diarrhea Anyone?

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well It sounds to me as if you may have come down with a bug - it's a good time of year for them! Give yourself a day or two of careful eating, lots of water to keep hydrated and lots of If the diarrhea continues or a fever spikes, please call your doctor for advice.

Take care s

Serious Diarrhea Anyone?

Nope. Don't think it's a bug. I had a flu shot this year, and I've started bleeding a lot more today. Something's not right. I feel yucky. Think I may have to call my doc.

Serious Diarrhea Anyone?

When I was about 3 weeks post op, I got the worse stomach cramps I have ever had in my life, I was in agony, and I had the scoots like you wouldn't believe!! This lasted a few days and I thought for sure I had ecoli as we had eaten out in a restaurant. I now think it was all to do with the surgery and it did leave eventually.

Hope you feel better soon.

Serious Diarrhea Anyone?

I hope your bowels have calmed down a bit. I had my surgery Dec 1 and had constipation for the first few weeks. Since then I have had diarrhea. I started having severe stomach pain a couple months before surgery and I was hoping that would clear up after the surgery (after the fibroids weren't pushing my intestines places they shouldn't go). I've been to the er and urgent care a couple of times (when the pain causes me to black out). I've never had diarrhea for more than a day or so before this, but this has been weeks. I found that the best thing for the constipation was (oddly enough) preparation H. I hope your bowels get back to 'normal' quickly. Best of luck. And drink your water!!!

Serious Diarrhea Anyone?

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling much better. I've just about stopped bleeding altogether. Going back to work tomorrow. A little concerned about getting tired after being "on vacation" for four weeks, but I have a lot of back-up help in case I need it. And yes! Drink that water!
