UTI again? Still?

Can any of you share your UTI symptoms? I haven't had a UTI in a while, and while I am not having difficulty urinating I am experiencing a bit of pain while urinating. I also am having some intermittent pain in the bladder area. I have no fever, so part of me thinks my bladder is still irritated from the catheter.

Bladder has forgotten what to do!

So I went today yo the dr. I did still have a 'slight UTI /bladder infection" but the real issue is my bladder has not recovered from surgery. It is spasming, leaking and not working correctly. Soooooooo.... another medicine is added. that makes 4 or 5 every day UGH> I thought surgery was supoose to make it better!

UTI again? Still?

I thought that I was having a UTI, but doc says it may be just my urethra (bladder tube) having spasms....it is very painful....so im trying some meds for that to see if it helps with the pain..the pain is in my stomach and back and hurts at the the end of my bathroom trip. I was put on antibiotics but it didn't help at all..so now we will try this....good luck everyone

UTI again? Still?

HI Almondjoy4me: I just got back from my family doctor and she is thinking I have interstitial cystitis because my last urine culture came back negative even though the dip test is coming back positive for WBC's. I have pain on and off, seems to get better when on antibiotics. Now I have to go see a urologist. Did you see a urologist and what did you take for it? How do they confirm that this is what you have? any info would really help me. Thanks!

UTI again? Still?

You need to find what the bacteria is and use the right antibiotic. Also, a good Urologist can find any other reasons there is a pain or infection.

I had UTI'S for years. Finally, a specialist found polyps. I had tiny polyps twice. He retired and now I have a new urologist. I had a VERY bad infection that would not leave. It was Kidney stones in both kidneys that time. That is two months ago.

I had a Lithotripsy. That is the procedure where they destroy the stones that cannot pass. It is not fun, but good to have instead of surgery. You still have to go under. Day surgery though.

I think a urologist is so helpful!
