five day count down!!!!!!

this site has helped to prepare me for i am about to go through. i am 24 and having TAH leaving ovaries. i am so ready. the endometriosis has been so bad since i was 11 that i have never really led a normal life without pain. i want to celebrate that it will all soon be over!!! there is a possibility of reoccurance by leaving the ovaries but with my age they want to give it a shot. i know that i am young but i started a family young so that will not be an issue, thank god!! thank all of you ladies for sharing with the rest of the world. i would not feel as good about this if not for the info and the best doctor(i tried 6 others first and every treament in the book). i am hoping that i will be able to get on with my life and have some normality to it with out the suffering. aug. 22 is my crowning day, got a lot to do and am anticipating the results!! pray for me.

Well is sure sounds like you have a very positive attitude going into this and thats great.
Also it appears you have given this decision a lot of thought and are very prepared for it.

Welcome to the best site ever. It sounds as if you are truly ready for this hyster.
If you have not already you might want to check out the home page, and go to the pull down menus as it really has alot of pre op suggestions that I used. And was glad I did.
I am now 9 days post op and even though I am married, and have kids also, I couldn't of felt better about this, without this wonderful site......
