Gross Question..

I am to have a TAH ( ovaries and tubes still in question ) Date TBD, due to Prolaspe, adneo, endo and the non stop hormonal rollercoaster. Recently I have started to get my period more frequently.. usually between 15 - 18 days in between 7 days of bleeding... I have noticed this time, however, that between days 10 and 15 I have had a blood streaked mucousy discharge... is this something normal that I just haven't noticed before or is this something I should be concerned with. I don't have another appt with the Dr for 2 weeks and not sure if I should try to schedule one earlier or just let it wait until i go in to schedule my TAH. Sorry for being so gross.

Hi Tammy!

Sweetie, there's no such thing as gross on this site! I had my TAH on May 7 (kept ovaries) and your cycle sounds a lot like what was happening to me prior to surgery.

If it would ease your mind, schedule your Dr's appointment earlier than the two weeks. Make sure you tell Dr what's happening...it may get things moving on the surgical date.

There is life after TAH, believe me. I am so incredibly glad I had this done, so now I can look forward to getting my life back.

Take care of yourself...you're in my prayers.

Gross Question..

Hiya...
I too had a TAH on May 12. Everything is now gone!!! I had endo, adeno, cysts, adehesions and fibroids....so i too was pretty "messed up" before my surgery.

I'd phone and speak to doc/doc's secretary and see if they can talk to you a bit earlier than planned.
If they can make sure you tell them everything. Write it all down before hand if you think you'll forget when you get in there!

I too am really glad it's all over...it was/is really hard work, but for me it was truely worth it...I hope that everything goes well for you and that you make a speedy recovery!

Best wishes

Gross Question..

I've had this kind of discharge too. I just figured it was all part of my problems and reported it when I had an appointment.

However, if it is making you feel upset, why not call the dr's office and just ask a couple of questions ... can't hurt.

best wishes,
Cheryl
