numbness of foot w/ prolapsed uterus?

I have been experiencing numbness in my right foot. I have had a prolapsed uterus for 5 years but have been putting off surgery. This latest symptom has caused me to raise the white flag & schedule surgery. But my doctor does not think the numbness is related to the prolapsed uterus. I assumed it was because I've always felt more pressure on the right towards my backside. Anyone experience this?

numbness of foot w/ prolapsed uterus?

I have everything prolapsed that can prolapse. I don't have numbness in my foot. I do have some lower back problems, and I do get alot of pressure when I overdo things but I have no numbness. I would try to get your dr. to figure out what is causing your numbness.

Good luck,
Denise

numbness

When I was my most anaemic I experienced a numbness in my foot - it was like having pins and needles in my foot and was quite scary (I think it was my left foot?).

Anyway, being anaemic could do it given the loss of blood pressure keeping all our extremities pumped with blood - also at various times my 18 week fibroid tends to grow a bit and I think it causes this too but can't be sure.

NOT professional Advice but....

I've read that a prolapsed/enlarged uterus can sometimes put pressure on the sciatic nerve.

This is something to definitely get checked out by an appropriate doctor

numbness of foot w/ prolapsed uterus?

No personal experience with this, but I do know that any numbness or tingling should be checked out by a Dr. It could be a lot of different things, some minor, some not minor. I would have it checked out.
Best wishes, and I hope it's nothing

numbness of foot w/ prolapsed uterus?

Hi, lam! I had right leg and foot numbness due to a fibroid growing on the right broad ligament next to my hip joint. (It also caused hip pain.) It took almost a year before all the numbness was completely gone after it was removed, probably because the ligament would get irritated if I did a lot of activity and there would be a little swelling. Here is a link to a past thread where women are talking about similar problems. https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...g+and+hip+pain Hopefully, your numbness will go away after your hyst and you will be feeling good again! I feel great 15 months after mine! s and best wishes!

numbness of foot w/ prolapsed uterus?

Hi! I had very bad sciatica that went through my right buttock and down my right leg into my foot (this was before surgery), my right foot became numb and stayed that way for a while. A lot of pressure from the position of my uterus, etc. Anyway, I was worried and in a lot of pain. Was worried how would I cope with the pain I had, plus the surgery? Fortunately, I was not physically in a lot of pain after the hyst. The numbness in my foot eventually went away. I do remember talking to my doc about it after the hyst. Hope this helps. Oh, and I had a prolapsed uterus before the hyst. s

numbness

confirmed -prolapsed uterus, pelvic congestion syndrome suffer from numbness in right leg / rear end . in my case case the uterus and enlarged vein / enlarged uterus press against the nerve(s) causing the blood supply to be cut off. this happens when i sit / stand for too long . waiting for surgery date for hysterectomy. this my 1st post but have been reading questions and advice / suggestions for a couple of days now, and will be returning to help me get through the next month or so.glad to have sisters to turn to. cmjp

numbness of foot w/ prolapsed uterus?

Hi Lam,

Yes, I have numbness in the foot. I have burning in the back of my thigh and low back pain. Just got my second opinion and doctor says he doubts my tingling and burning is caused by the enlarged uterus. I think the doctor is wrong.

My best to you,
