home 1 week and love my crown

Hello to all you ladies in waiting. Had my TAH/BSO w/appendectomy on 2/28. Came home from the castle on last Sunday. I feel pretty darn good. I quit taking the percosets because I really dont have much pain and Im attributing that to the fact that I have done nothing but rest rest rest. I never watched so much TV in my life!!!! I have let everyone do everything for me and let me tell you, its GREAT. Its about time we get to be really pampered. I will tell you the first day I do remember feeling pain but they gave me medication right away and then I slept for 3 hours after each IV med. So to those of you who are waiting try to relax, from my experience, it wasnt really that bad. Good luck to all of you, see you on the other side.

Welcome home Mary. You look gorgeous wearing your crown. You're right we do deserve to be pampered. I enjoyed every minute and lived it up for as long as I could. DH even paid for a woman to come in and clean my house. But it's back to reality now, so enjoy it all right now. Take it easy and you'll feel better for it in the end. Don't forget to take walks. I would walk outside several driveways and back again. Never so far that I couldn't turn around and come back. Each day I increased it by one or two driveways. That worked great for me. Since I never left my street I knew that if there was any problem there was someone who could help out. I never needed it though.

Welcome Home !

What a beautiful you are!!

I understand what you mean about watching so much tv!! I finally couldn't stand it anymore, to be honest...I switched to the radio. Daytime tv is awful !!
I also caught up on so many things I wanted to do, but never had the time for. Well, I figured the time is being forced on me now, so I caught my photo albums up to date. DSO bought me some beautiful picture frames also....I was in heaven!

Pamper yourself, Mary, but don't forget to It's so helpful both for your mental and physical well-being...ahhh, outdoors! It helps to relieve gas pressure too.
