who had also acid reflux after surgery???

i have a lot of troubles with my stomach and gullet;the food can't digest normally and almost every night a have acid reflux. This makes that i can not eat normal (not much and spicy and sourly food) In the evening , i don't eat after 7 pm, and even than, i have acid reflux at night. I take already medicines for it and put an extra pillow under my head at night, but than my back hurts in the morning.

It all started after the surgery and it bothers me more than the hysterectomy.

Wednesday i will have a stomach research in hospital. looking forward

Does anyone of you had this also? Please give me some reply.

I find that I get acid problems when I take paracetamol. did you need a lot of medication in the hospital? Maybe your stomach just can't take them? Or maybe your stomach was already a bit poorly to begin with and the stress of the surgery brought it to the next level? I know how horrible it is to have something else now causing pain, because you simply do not have the energy to deal with this, you don't need this right now!

You have probably done this yourself, but I googles acid reflux, and they warn against alcohol and milky drinks at night, it might make it worse. they say eat complex carbohydrates, like bread, rice and pasta, do not eat too much (well, you are having problems eating so that is not the problem) and sit up straight for at least 45 minutes after eating. I remember from my pregnancies how terrible and painful it is, I really hope they will be able to help you get rid of it really fast.

Oh my gosh! I had that too - I stopped eating dairy and drinking soda and acidic fluids of all kinds for a couple of days, including fruit juices, coffee, tea, etc. No alcohol either. It was tough to stick to water, but I swear it helped immediately. Good luck to you!! For me, it just got better over time... hope that happens for you too!
