TAH swelly belly

i am about 3 mo post op and have a swelly belly that makes me look like im pregnant..im miserable and wonder if this is normal..im not in pain but when i try and wear jeans it hurts so im back in my yoga pants..some days im more swollen than others and wonder if there is anything that i can do to make it go away faster or should i see a dr cuz it just seems to be getting bigger and bigger and its so depressing.just wondering if there are other women out there who are experiencing the same things

There are lots of us experiencing this! Look at the previous couple of pages of threads and you will see several of them. I am 5+ months post op and still can only wear yoga pants. I've lost weight, have flat tummy in morning, big round belly in evening. Physiotherapy and exercise make it worse. Doctors claim they don't understand it. One lady on another thread said she still had it at 16 months! Its discouraging, depressing and uncomfortable. If you find a cure, you'll become the wealthiest and most popular lady on this website.

I'm trying to tell myself mine is a little better at 4 months.....
I can get back into some pairs of jeans/pants with zips, and they don't hurt my vertical incision as much, but I still have discomfort by the end of the day.
And the more active I am, the more I swell also - as Sugarandspice said. That's REALLY depressing because you'd think exercise would help.
At least it shows it's not fat, though - if we are flattish in the morning.
It's time someone in the medical profession did some research into this and came up with an answer and a cure!
