When will I really start to feel better?

I started to feel better between weeks 3 and 4. The swelling and numbness were also less by that time.

I am 6 weeks post op now, and the swelly belly comes back if I do too much. Can now fit in my regular pants. Walking is no longer an issue, carrying I still have to be careful with, specially when I go shopping

I guess everyone is different but from what I have read on this website the swelly belly does stick around for awhile. Mine is a lot better than the first couple of months. I purchased the abdominal binder and I use it at night when I go to bed. It has really seemed to help. I am finally back into my jeans comfortably!

Thanks for this topic. I miss Church as well. I'm not sure when I will be able to go back as I still can't sit for more than a few minutes and haven't even been out of the house yet.
There is a Church supper this weekend, but DH will have to go on his own if he wants.
I'm hoping to go for Father's Day weekend.

In 2 days it will be 2 weeks since my surgery. Today I have increased my activity a little more. I have a sharp pain in the side to middle of my back and I just went the bathroom am wiped away some blood. I haven't had any bleeding since the 2nd day after surgery. I don't know if I have done to much activity or I tore something inside. I'm concerned, but I don't want to go to the er tonight so I will wait till morning and call my dr. Anyone else have similar problem or advise?
