Six days post op

Hi all,
I am six days post op and feeling pretty depressed. I can get through the days but am getting to fear the nights. I cry almost everynight before I go to bed. I feel as though I have PTSD, my stay in the hospital was terrible and I was in a great deal of pain. Any thoughts.

Would it help to tell us about it? Sometimes "talking" helps. If so, you know we'll be here to listen.

depression after any surgery is very common. if you think yours is worse than normal, you should let your dr know. are you taking pain meds that might be making you feel worse?

Depression

I had another difficult night last night. I think that my major issue is dealing with the fact that this solidifies the fact that I can have no more children. I have three daughters (had them very young) with my exhusband and I am in a new relationship with someone who has no children. My youngest is 14. I am 35. I also feel that my hormones are going crazy. I feel that in time this will get better, but until then I am working very hard to keep on track. Has anyone felt "regret" after their hyster? I thing it might be the "what ifs" that are getting to me, in addition to this I am beginning to feel "old", versus feeling very young. Age is a number I know, but time does march on, right across your face. ha ha
Thank you all for your response and your support, it is nice to be among those who understand.
