viox to prometrium?

dr says to add viox with the prometrium to stop the bleeding? as an anti inflamatory? and keep up my iron.

I have not tried prometrium, however I have used ibuprofen to try and control my periods. Vioxx is the same type of drug only it is missing the component that causes the stomach irritation, so they say. I know that it comes with it's own set of problems. That is just me though, eternally worried about meds!

I actually got some relief from the ibuprofen and did in fact bring my iron level up over a few months. I stopped though because between the iron tabs and the ibuprofen my tummy just could not handle it anymore. It did not help much with flooding but did lighten the rest of my period considerably.
