Dr. relationship for issues

What kind of relationship do you women have with your Dr. or NP when it comes to questions you might have?
Does he/she call back and talk with you and do you feel he/she really cares about you?
I'm having to switch AGAIN because this last one refused to ever call me. Even when I had a bad reaction to one of the hormones she put me on. I learned that she doesn't call anyone back. It's not just me. I hate to keep switching because every time I do, they change something in my prescription. Right now I'm on .05E2, .05E3 and 100mg. progesterone.
I'm only hitting the two month mark on these bioidenticals. So, it's pretty early on.

Dr. relationship for issues

I have been going to my gyn for about 20 years and if I need something, like an adjustment on meds I usually get a call from his nurse who relays the messages. She is very good and I have been pleased. I think if it is too complicated or I have a problem and I really need to talk about a major change or other issue I just make an appt. to go in. I think my doctor would call me back in some cases. He did call me once to let me know about a result on a bone density test.

I think doctor's have a very busy practice and if they had to call back everyone that called them they could not see there patients. I think it depends how important the call is. Most calls about adjustments can be handled by the doctor's nurse, and if it is something you really need to take time to talk about then an appt. is in order. I think it is very important how good his nurse is and my doctor's nurse is very prompt with getting back with me once she has talked to him.

I hope you can find a good doctor and nurse that suits you.

it really depends on what the problem is but i either speak to his nurse and she calls me back after she has emailed or talked to him, or he calls me back. either way is fine with me..i dont call often though but i always get a call back within a few minutes to hours..always the same day.
i dont know how a dr doesnt call someone back or have the nurse call you back..thats just plain rude no matter how many patients the dr has. even if the nurse called you back and told you that you need an appt...a call back is important.
one thing you might want to do is make an appt, talk to your dr about your hormones and the problems youre having..and then let her know that you have called the office and been ignored..and if it continues, you will be leaving the practice and finding a dr that you feel cares about the problems youre having. its best to be straight forward about things and see what her reaction is. i personally dont need a dr to kiss my butt but i do expect the dr to know who i am and treat me with respect...and you deserve that too. good luck
