fmla???

Waiting on a call from my employer. To see if they can approve benefits til the end of may... Dr says I have to be off for 8 weeks minimum and I need money...

FMLA only provides time off from your job; up to 12 weeks per year. It doesn't mean you will get paid for the time off unless you have some sort of disability insurance.

I was approved for 6 weeks fmla and intermittent after that. I have 300 sick hours that I am using for pay. Hopefully you have access to that.

Unless your job offers some sort of short term disability or you have some vacation or sick pay acquired then you'll have to figure out how you'll pay your bills etc ..

FMLA only protects your job for up to 12 weeks if you qualify - its doesn't require your employer to pay your wages while your off.

Also FMLA is 12 weeks in a 12 month period not a year. Good to know if you had anything else done in the past 12 months.

My company provides short term disability after 14 days. It is 66% of my salary.
