Hysterectomy Surgery Path Report-chronic inflammation cervix/ nabothian cysts

Anyone know what this is ? I goggled nabothian cysts and it said they are common. Was cervix inflamed because of adeno ? Or did these cysts make it inflamed ? Any insight would be good. thx.

Re: Path Report-chronic inflammation cervix/ nabothian cysts

I can't help with the cysts but I too was told that I had chronic cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix). For the last four years I'd dealt with chronic infections and every Dr I went to said there was nothing wrong. My uterus was indicative of being post menopausal as well (at 36).

Re: Path Report-chronic inflammation cervix/ nabothian cysts

I had the following on my pathology report: " the cervical tissue contains many nabothian cysts containing transparent gel like material, the largest 1.7 cm in diameter ". I am not sure if these would cause inflammation of the cervix.

Yes the net says the nab cysts are normal, but if so why do they note them ? I've have a sensitive cervix for a long time and was just wondering or was it the adeno making it sore ?

I don't remember a time when the cervix being bumped didn't cause me to cramp.

Did you have Endo Georgiarose? I had it on the cervix which meant I had a lot of pain there together with the adenomyosis, just a thought.

Re: Hysterectomy Surgery Path Report-chronic inflammation cervix/ nabothian cysts

She told me I didn't have endo . But adeno, is endo of the uterus. It didn't specifically say on the path report. I was just told extensive adenomyosis. So very well could have been. She took a cyst covered ovary out a few yrs ago and looked for endo but didn't find any. For yrs I Thot I had endo, but didn't quite fit the symptoms, then found out about adeno. I did specifically ask this time if I had any endo and was assured I did not. Hopefully alls good now.
