TVH: Only 5 more days........

I will be going in this next Monday, July 25th for a TVH. They also will be repairing a rectocele, slinging the neck of my bladder and something else, I forget what. I am so nervous and feeling nauseous all the time. I am so ready for this all to be over.

huskerfan74- I am going in for my LSH on Monday as well! I have been finding that taking time out to really get in touch with my feelings has helped a lot. Writing is another great outlet. You don't have to be a writer/poet. No one has to read it except you. I am planning on also writing down the things I am grateful for that my uterus has brought me. (children, etc.)

I am looking at my surgery as the beginning of a transformation of my life. Sort of a rite of passage, if you will. I had a great party with friends last week celebrating my uterus. We had a lovely time and it was such a great thing to do. I made a uterus pinata and I still have it minus the cervix where the pull strings opened up the uterus spilling goodies out. I was wondering what to do with it. So I decided to write down the things that I am done with (pain, bleeding, etc.) put it inside the uterus and burning it.

This may sound a bit over the top, but I am finding by taking this time, that I am calmer and feeling ready to go.

I am nervous as I have never had major surgery before, but I know I have made the right decision.
