Re: Waiting......waiting......waiting....

I am 5 weeks away from my journey to the 'castle' Already I can't sleep at night. I have a ton of ?? for my OB next week and hope that he will give me answers to alleviate my fears, and perhaps some 'anxiety' meds to help me thru this. I have thought of cancelling, but since finding this site, I am feeling somewhat better. Great advice. Of course I know every person is different and I try NOT to take it ALL to heart. I just want it over. Good luck on your journey! Will anxiously await your 'post journey' reports.

Counting my days also. One minute I am fine, the next nervous. But I think this is all natural. Using this time to do things around the house.

Re: Waiting......waiting......waiting....

I am keeping busy thru the day, its the night time, my mind goes wild with thoughts. I will be seeing my general practitioner next week and asking her for meds to sleep because I see her before my OB Surgeon. I can't go many more nights like this...I am drained during the day from it all. IN one way, I am anxious for the day to come, in another I am dreading it. I have taken advice from this site and typed out ALL my questions for the Dr, and a copy for me to write his responses. HOPING he alleviates my fears. I do trust him with all my being, and and since I have known him for a long time, I am confident he will be 'gentle' and answer me in terms I can understand. Thanks HS, your website rocks!

Re: Waiting......waiting......waiting....

My surgery is Oct 11...next Tuesday. I'm really hoping for a quick recovery too, getting nervous but at times feel pretty calm and well pleased with my decision to get it over with. Will feel good to be able to pee normal since I have a fybroid pressing on my bladder. Its not fun having to get up 2 to 3 times a night to pee...ugh! I just want it over and to go on with life, so tired of this hanging over my head. I hope you heal quickly too and good luck.

Re: Waiting......waiting......waiting....

My doctor say I have a stessful bladder, I have been taking detrol but lately does not seem like it wants to work. I see my doctor on Tuesday to sign my surgery papers again. Had it changed from 9/19 due to school for my children and husband job. Like you I sometimes feel like putting it off, but since I first saw my ONC/GYN I have started feeling worse. My pain along with my other symptons are getting the best of me. I am taking pain medication and anti seizure medication they both make me tired and sleepy. But at lease now I can get a good nites sleep. The pain use to get me up at night.

Re: Waiting......waiting......waiting....

I have ulcers on my bladder and they put me on vesicare until after I heal from the hysterectomy. The Dr. I am seeing for that issue is a gynecologist so I am seeing 2 doctors in 1 practice. I have interstitial cystytis. I had preop today and I am ready to go except for the decision about my ovaries. I am very torn on that decision. I am sure I will figure it out.

If you belive in God lean on your FAITH. He will help you decide what is best for you. I am a strong believer in faith. Weigh out the pros and cons of what you have to go through. I wish you the very best. Take care and stay positive.
