Bleeding14 dy Post 0p

On 5/7 began to see small traces of a light flow of red blood. Felt a pulling near where leg and pelvis meet. Rested and took Tylenol. This went on for about three days. Each day after 5/7, have seemed to have a light period, blood in urine. Although, I feel fine. Saw doctor on 5/10. After exam Dr. believed it is just that I pulled something cuff still in tact. Passed a few clots.
Also incision started to itch and turn red under steri-strips. Due to rubbing steri-strips came off but the incision site is itchy and a little red. I felt a little cramping during the first few days of bleeding. I feel fine know just concerned. Due to see the Dr. 5/15 may get a ultra sound.
Is this normal?

Re: Bleeding14 dy Post 0p

I'm sorry you are going through this!

I had my DaVinci Hysterectomy and removal of ovaries of April 29th. I was extremely lucky to not have any bleeding post-op (with exception of some "left over" from surgery the day of). When I got home from the hospital, I had nothing!

I, too, had "pulled" something and went the the doctor for consultation. My dr. examined me and said the cuff, suture, etc. were fine. Last week (after my exam), started spotting and had some brownish-red discharge. I was informed that is normal. No clotting yet and no bright red blood.

I'm glad you're going back to the doctor this week. It concerns me that you stated your incisions are red. It may just be due to the healing process though! Are you having any discharge from the incisions? If so, I would call your doctor and move the appt. up sooner.

Good luck with your healing! Keep us posted!

Thanks for your quick response. I feel fine the incisions are healed, they just are very itchy, the redness has stopped. I am a little concerned about the light period.
