urinary trouble at 6 weeks
I am just coming on 6 weeks from TAH. My doctor told me that my bladder was very entwined with part of my intestine and my uterus and there was a lot of manipulation to seperate them. My recovery has been good and the past week has been the best... much more energy and much less pain. With the exception that I have had a lot of lower back gas pain all of a sudden and now today my bladder is unhappy. It seems I have to go every 20 minutes or so. I guess I thought by 6 weeks I should be past this....especially since I didn't have problems with my bladder at all until now. Anyone have experience with bladder issues starting later after surgery?

I'm sorry you're experiencing this.
The best thing you can do is contact your doctor as soon as possible since the lower back pain and urinary frequency could be due to a urinary tract infection. If so, then it's better treated sooner rather than later.
Will you let us know what you find out? I hope you find relief very soon. Take care!

I would agree. It sounds like it could be a urinary track infection. I had problems it the beginning with my bladder like that but in week 5 it starting acting right again. Best wishes.
