3 weeks post hysterectomy and recovery feels very slow
Thank you so much for all the info you guys have really been amazing Recovery feels like it's going very slow. I'm almost at my third weeks and still having discomfort and pain and the doctor cannot give any more pain meds so that's frustrating I think there's so much swelling. Not sure. My incision is from hip bone to hip bone

Have you tried a heating pad for pain ? Are you taking it easy, not doing housework ? It takes quite a while to recover from an abdominal surgery. Muscles and nerves are cut.It also hurts as they grow back. Good luck to you and keep your chin up.

Thank you. I will try the heating pad I'm trying not to over do it but it's hard not to feel like you can't lay around anymore just eating and sleeping.

Hello HollyHobbie
I had an abdominal on 16 April and was also cut hip bone to hip bone - my wound measured at 22cm (9 inches) and I am still in pain and feeling like you. So just sending sympathies and much empathy. x
