Good Evening Sisiters,

I feel like a train ran over me.....

I had a day like that at 3 weeks also. The gas pains returned with a vengeance! Hang in there, 4 weeks is a bit better for me so far...

I had the same experience. I was told it has to do with the internal healing. Funning how the exterior heals so quickly and you forget about what is going on inside. Take care of yourself--it will get better.

I feel like a train ran over me.....

Hi, I too had the same thing happen. I felt great when I came home but around week 3 I felt worse than when I was in the hospital.
It will get better. I'm at 5 weeks now and I feel much better.
The gas pains do come back really bad for a while but just when you think they will never go away they do.
Good luck and hang in there it will get better.

I feel like a train ran over me.....

Hi Mary! I thought it was just me! I had TAH/BSO Feb 10th and yesterday and today were the worst. I am soooo tired as well as sore. So great to read the responses and I trust there will be better days.
Good luck everyone.

I feel like a train ran over me.....

I have the same thing at two-and-a-half weeks. I talked to my doctor and he said it is normal. He compared hysterectomy recovery to the stock market, constant ups and downs. Hang in there!

I feel like a train ran over me.....

I had exactly the same experience. Week one spent mostly in bed napping but feeling okay and recovering from hospital. Week two feeling like I was on the road to recovery and starting to walk around the block and then wham week three-I felt worse than the first two weeks! It was a shock and I felt something was wrong with me. But, as everyone says it takes time. Six weeks today and its a definite turning point-even though still have the swelly belly and lack of sleep.

I feel like a train ran over me.....

I know what you mean. I experienced my worst week at week 3, I started spotting and had some new pains, I ended up calling Gyn on week 5, and she said, sounds normal, and to wait for week 6 check up which is coming up for me in a few days,
I think the key is to take it slow and listen to your body~

I feel like a train ran over me.....

Im just over 9 weeks and still have some bad days, though more good days now. The internal healing is def the worse. Take care of yourself and dont expect too much, our bodies have been through one hell of a knock.
